Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day!I hope all of you can celebrate with your loved ones - even if only on Zoom!

To be completely honest, Mother's Day is bittersweet as I am sure it is for those of you that have lost loved ones. My mom has been gone 26 years and my mother-in-law 9 years.  I miss them both but then I laugh when I remember certain things like when my mom would say,   "If your friend jumped off a cliff, would you?" and "Stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about." She was tough, funny, loved to sing and dance, and always listened when we had our moments. My mother-in-law was very much the same and would tap her glass when she wanted another refill of wine.  She was smart, and loved to read.

In honor of our mom's I am going to buy a gift for my daughter, Celeste. And, yes, I am going to send her one of our cardigans.......she will laugh when she sees the gift, like, "MOM, really?!" And Carly is surprising her mom with a cardigan AND a drive by visit!
